Caldwell County hosts several statewide dance competitions, meetings, and pageants each year. Below is a listing of our major meeting and event spaces along with some of our lesser known venues for receptions, corporate retreats and weddings.

Situated conveniently on U.S. 321, just south of Lenoir, the J.E. Broyhill Civic Center is easily the most recognizable landmark in Caldwell County. The J.E. Broyhill Civic Center is available for conferences, seminars, training sessions, holiday parties, wedding receptions, business meetings, and other special events. |
Conference Space
The conference center can accommodate banquet seating for up to 300 people. There are eight meeting rooms available in addition to the auditorium. The center provides an on-site catering facility with an approved catering list. Tables and chairs are included in the room rental.
Auditorium
The auditorium can house over 1,000 patrons, providing state-of-the-art audio visual equipment for any need. The Civic Center can accommodate computerized ticketing, dressing rooms, full-size movie screen, and lighting and sound systems as well as a client mailing list for event marketing and promotions.

The Civic Center can provide a PA system, AV equipment, podiums, microphones, dry erase boards, televisions, DVD/VCRs, slide projectors, laptop computer, phone line, 220 VAC power, dance floor, linens, serpentine table, overheads and screens, plus wireless Internet.

The Caldwell County Public Library offers seven meeting rooms, ranging in seating capacity from 15 to 180 people. There is no charge for governmental and nonprofit groups; however, other groups are charged. The use of the rooms are on a self-serve basis, meaning set-up and clean up is the responsibility of the group using the room. Adjoining one of the world largest private vintage antique soda machine showrooms is Club Cola, a banquet facility providing event space for parties, reunions and other events. Attendees can browse the vintage soda pop museum while listening to their favorite oldies on the jukebox. An extra fee can provide your party with all the bottle soda you can drink.

Hudson Uptown Building (HUB)

This restored 1947 Hudson Elementary School is rented for meetings, dinner theatres, and civic activities. The HUB is the perfect setting for wedding receptions, parties and reunions.

Event Space
The most notable features of the HUB are its 22-foot ceilings and 5.5-foot circular windows on the outside of the facility. The 44,000 square-foot facility includes 10,000 square feet of restored auditorium/cafeteria space including a 1,200-square-foot stage and seating for 100 in the balcony and 280 on the floor. The rest is classroom space that can be used for community classes or any other civic needs.

The HUB provides tables, chairs, podium, lighting and sound as well as catering and cafeteria space. Handicap accessible restrooms are on site.
