Tucker's Streetscape Gallery: A Town Inside a Gallery

buy sculptureIf you take a stroll along the streetscape in downtown Lenoir and happen upon an outdoor sculpture that you just have to have, there is a good chance it can be purchased, and you can take it home with you. In an unusual and creative way to display their creations, local artists have installed nearly 13 ever-changing sculptures in different locations throughout downtown Lenoir, along Main Street and West Avenue.

This outdoor gallery is known as Tucker’s Streetscape Gallery. The purpose is two-fold. It promotes and nurtures an appreciation for sculpture in the community, and it gives local craftsmen a place to display their art and hopefully sell it. All the artwork is available for sale, with new pieces being installed as sculptures are sold. Visitors can expect pieces to change as quickly as the seasons. No commission is taken from any sculptures, and all proceeds go to local artists.
