Joe Cerminaro of Cerminaro Vineyard is no stranger to great wine. He grew up in an Italian family and later planted his first 200 grape vines at his home in Kings Creek, NC. Today, Joe Cerminaro has over 3,400 vines and produces between 6,000 to 8,000 bottles of wine each year. Each fall, Cerminaro uses family and friends to hand pick several tons of grapes that are processed and fermented at the vineyard. Cerminaro’s wines have a variety of appeal, from a soft, fresh and fruity flavor to a hearty, rich taste with the right amount of oak. Cerminaro Vineyard grows European and French hybrid grapes. Cerminaro Vineyard now makes Merlot, Sangiovese, Chancellor, DeChaunac, Leon Millot, Cabernet Savignon, Carbernet Franc, St. Vincent, Seyval Blanc, Vignoles, Vidal Blanc, Cauyuga White, Sweet Red, and Riesling.
