Beginning Handbuilding Pottery Class

This 4-week course is designed for adult (18+) beginners, no previous experience is necessary. Students will explore basic handbuilding and slab work as well as learn various decorating and glazing techniques. Students will create multiple pieces throughout the course. Pinch pots, mugs, and trays are just a few of the custom creations you will make. Classes meet on Tuesday evenings from 6-8pm.

Open Mic Poetry Night

Join us for a night of poetry at the Hudson Arts Center hosted by The Mitford Museum. Featured poet Tim Peeler will read and then, we'll welcome 12-15 readers to the microphone for 3 minutes each. Polish up your best poetry and join us for an evening of inspired creativity. Light refreshments will be served, and Three Drinks Down will be open just around the corner. Literally.

Delve into the world of ceramics as you explore advanced techniques in shaping clay using your hands and constructing intricate forms through slab work. Class Focus: This four-week course places a strong emphasis on the art of handbuilding and slab work, offering students a unique opportunity to enhance their pottery skills and express their creativity in a supportive and inspiring environment. Whether you’re a returning student or have some prior experience with pottery, this class is designed to broaden your knowledge and refine your techniques. The class will meet every Thursday for two hours, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, allowing participants to immerse themselves in the world of handbuilding and slab work.
