Sims Country BBQ

Hidden away from view until you’ve driven up, down, and around a half-mile of dirt driveway, Sims Country BBQ is suddenly revealed as you crest a gentle open ridge. Beneath a grove of huge trees that stand clustered on the edge of a board, grassy slope sits a large rustic, meandering building that can accommodate more than three hundred people. There are many things to do at this place, which is part buffet- style restaurant, part park, part music stage and part dance center. On occasion, you can also see a performance by the award-winning Sims County Cloggers, the clogging team that began at the BBQ. Every year in October, Sims hosts the Molasses Festival featuring hayrides, games, food, music, and molasses making. Year round, it's the perfect place to bring the whole family and experience a taste of traditional Western Carolinian food, entertainment, and natural beauty.
